Individual Therapy
Highly Sensitive Person

Working with Highly Sensitive People (HSPs) has emerged as a relatively new and specialized approach in psychotherapy. Highly Sensitive People, a term coined by psychologist Dr. Elaine Aron, are individuals whose nervous systems are more attuned to external stimuli and emotional experiences, often leading to heightened awareness and deeper processing of sensory and emotional information. In my practice, I focus on creating a safe, supportive environment where HSPs can explore their unique sensitivities without feeling overwhelmed. This approach includes helping clients recognize their heightened sensitivity as a strength, teaching tools for emotional regulation, and fostering resilience in environments that may feel overstimulating. By acknowledging and honoring this trait, we can work together to build healthier boundaries, reduce anxiety, and enhance well-being.

This approach is particularly beneficial for HSPs who may feel misunderstood or overwhelmed by traditional therapeutic models, as it addresses their unique needs.

Depression and Mood

Depression and mood disorders can impact every aspect of a person's life, leaving them feeling disconnected, overwhelmed, and emotionally drained. My approach to treating depression focuses on both the mind and body, recognizing that emotions can be held deeply within the physical self. By integrating somatic psychotherapy with mindfulness and body-based techniques, I help clients explore the underlying causes of their mood challenges. Together, we work to release stuck emotions, restore balance, and create new patterns of self-compassion and emotional resilience, guiding clients toward a more fulfilling and stable emotional life.

Anxiety, Stress, OCD

Anxiety, stress, and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) can disrupt daily life, leaving individuals feeling trapped in cycles of worry and tension. My approach integrates somatic psychotherapy to address how these conditions manifest in the body, along with mindfulness practices to help clients manage intrusive thoughts and regain control. By focusing on body awareness and emotional regulation, I guide clients in releasing the physical tension that anxiety and stress create, helping them break free from compulsive behaviors and patterns. Together, we work to create new pathways for calm, balance, and emotional well-being.

Existential Inquiries, Identity, and Self-Esteem

Navigating questions of identity, self-worth, and the meaning of life can evoke a profound sense of disconnection, uncertainty, and emotional struggle. In our work together, we will explore these existential inquiries through a holistic lens that includes tapping into your embodied intuition and sense of aliveness. By reconnecting with your body’s wisdom, you can access a deeper, more intuitive understanding of yourself. This approach fosters clarity and self-compassion, allowing you to build a stronger sense of identity, improve self-esteem, and live with greater authenticity and vitality. Together, we will cultivate a deeper sense of presence and meaning in your life experiences.

Parenting & Attachment

Parenting begins with a deep awareness of your own attachment patterns, which shape how you bond with your child. By understanding these imprints, you can create a secure and healthy attachment for your child, starting as early as conception. During conception and pregnancy, the beliefs you hold—about yourself, your body, and your ability to nurture—play a significant role in shaping your emotional connection with your baby. I offer guidance in addressing these beliefs, ensuring they support a positive and empowering journey into parenthood.

Additionally, I provide support around key parenting decisions, such as co-sleeping, helping parents understand how these choices affect attachment and emotional regulation. For parents navigating the loss of a child, I offer a compassionate space to heal and process grief. Whether during conception, pregnancy, or early childhood, I’m here to help you foster deep, nurturing relationships within your family.

Trauma and PTSD

Trauma and PTSD often result from overwhelming experiences that leave deep emotional and physical imprints. My approach to trauma therapy integrates somatic psychotherapy, which helps clients process trauma stored in the body, and Internal Family Systems (IFS), which fosters healing by working with the different internal parts impacted by the trauma. By creating a safe and supportive space, I guide clients through body-based awareness and mindfulness practices to release trauma, while helping them regain a sense of control, safety, and connection in their lives.
